Q1. What do you do?
I’m a musician/ bangle maker… But I have some how just landed an acting roll. I’ve always wanted to be in a movie.
Q2. Where are you right now ?
I’m in Denmark in Western Australia, filming my first feature film called ‘Breath’.
Q3. What inspires you in life and or your pursuits with your music and jewellery?
People, mistakes I’ve made and of course music. All kinds of people inspire me, from my ex-girlfriend, to idols, kids I’ve just met. But a huge part of it is me day dreaming (I’m a Sagittarius) listening to music, picturing me playing it or trying to work out how they did it or got the sound.
Q4. Who have you worked with or met that has particularly moved or fascinated you?
Working with Simon Baker as my director is pretty cool, just to see how he turns on and off with acting and how he gets different reactions from his actors by doing weird things on set. Music wise, I have worked with so many people over the years, I wouldn’t know where to begin! Working and playing on a album with Joe Waronka the drummer for Beck and Atoms For Peace was a eye-opener. I learnt a lot of tricks for recording drums.
Supporting the band Suicide at their first show in thirty years. Staying with Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds in a ski lodge on Mount Bulla, where I shared a room with Mick Harvey’s son. There are just too many people and situations that have moved me! Would need to sit and have a few drinks to just break the surface.
Q5. What is your happiest memory?
Oooohhh, I don’t know, there are just too many! The latest one was meeting Mick Fleetwood backstage at Blues Fest. I’ve never been hugged like that in my life. The picture looks amazing we took together.
Q6. What do you do for down time?
Play guitar, try to surf, hit the beach, movies but mainly see all my friends!
Q7. What does your every day uniform look like?
HUGE denim fan! So I usually wear one of my many pairs of Levi’s and a N.K. T-Shirt.
